Tiger Band Performance Recognized by National Conference
A committee of judges from the College Band Directors National Association (CBDNA) has recognized the LSU Tiger Marching Band for their November 2021 show Land of the Free Because of the Brave, and invited the band faculty to present at the 2022 CBDNA Southern Regional Conference.
Boyd Professor Willis Delony Releases New Album
Willis Delony, Boyd Professor of Piano & Jazz Studies, recently released a new album on the Centaur label entitled Between the Notes, a compendium of solo piano works in keeping with his reputation as one of the nation's leading classical/jazz crossover artists.
Student Spotlight: Jeremi Edwards
PhD candidate Jeremi Edwards was invited to share his music compositions with the world at the 2021 Midwest Clinic International Band, Orchestra and Music Conference.
LSU Cares is a university initiative dedicated to the well-being of students and promotion of a community that cares about each of its members. Using a CARE (Communicate, Assess, Refer, Educate) approach, staff review reports and provide appropriate resources in response. LSU Cares works with students to empower them to help students of concern and engage with victim support and advocacy resources.
