Workday Student Fall 2024 Update

The Workday Student Project Team is continuing to work toward go-live milestones.

 

Advising staff and students will begin to use Workday Student in February 2025. In Summer 2025, faculty may continue to post grades in Moodle or use Workday Student. Training materials will be available on the Workday Student website and include resource guides and demo videos. In anticipation of this go-live date, the Workday Student project continues to progress. LSU A&M is ready to receive admissions via Slate with integrations into Workday Student. Once the admissions for Summer 2025 and Fall 2025 have been received, reviewed and approved, the student information will move to Workday Student Financial Aid. This activity will occur in October and the team is busy verifying data and training to manage this new process. Additional foundational work—courses, programs of study, and academic calendars are also well underway. As the teams move into the latter part of the semester, work will focus on integrations to other university systems such as 25Live and Moodle. Workday Student will feed information to these systems and in some cases, receive data back into Workday Student.  

Reporting is another critical piece of the Workday Student project. Reports that meet federal and state requirements are critical and are a high priority.  In addition, reports that allow faculty and staff to monitor student enrollment, financial aid, and student success are in the process of being developed and tested.  

 
To ensure feedback and updates are cascaded throughout the LSU community, a series of meetings are being held with deans, associate deans and assistant deans.  The team has also presented at college level meetings upon invitation.  These meetings complement updates being provided through two advisory groups: campus advisors and department support staff. The campus communicators group is receiving updates to support project awareness. We hope you saw us at Fall Fest and we look forward to connecting at future events across campus.
