Each spring, all LSU Family Association members are invited to campus for our annual Spring Family Fling to enjoy a weekend of LSU athletic events and to experience Louisiana culture and cuisine while mingling with other LSU families. Laissez les bons temps rouler!

Registration

The LSU Family Association Spring Family Fling is an exclusive event for members of the LSU Family Association. Registration will be required to participate in Spring Family Fling activities.

Registration for Spring Family Fling events will be a la carte, meaning you can pick and choose which events you and your family would like to register for and attend. The cost for each event will be announced soon. 

Once registration opens on January 30, you will need to register and pay for all family members attending any Spring Family Fling events, including your LSU student.

The Spring Family Fling registration fee does not include baseball, softball, or Men's basketball game tickets, as those must be purchased separately afterward. You must register and pay for at least one event during Spring Family Fling in order to receive the link to purchase tickets to the athletic events. 

January 25

The deadline to join the LSU Family Association in order to be eligible to register for Spring Family Fling was Thursday, January 25.

January 30

Registration for all LSU Family Association members opened on Tuesday, January 30 at 10 a.m. CST. All Family Association members received an email on January 30 with the link to register and pay for their family members to attend Spring Family Fling.

February 16

Registration for all families closed on Friday, February 16 at 11:59 p.m. CT.

Schedule of Events

LSU Baseball vs. Stony Brook
Begins at 2 p.m.
Alex Box Stadium
Cost: $5 per ticket

Information about how to purchase tickets to the LSU Baseball vs. Stony Brook game will be emailed to you after you complete registration for Spring Family Fling. You must register and pay for at least one event during Spring Family Fling in order to receive the link to purchase baseball tickets.

A very limited number of tickets will be available in the reserved seating in the bleachers in sections 101, 201, and 223. Tickets are also available in the standing room only (SRO) section. Students do not need to purchase baseball tickets, unless they wish to sit with their families in Alex Box Stadium. Full-time LSU students will have free admission by scanning their Geaux Rewards app ticket. The student sections are located in sections 95, 96, and 97. LSU Softball vs. Boise State and University of Houston - Tiger Classic Day 2
Game vs. Boise State begins at 4 p.m.

Cost: $3 per ticket

Information about how to purchase tickets to the Tiger Classic Day 2 with LSU Softball vs. Boise State and University of Houston will be emailed to you after you complete registration for Spring Family Fling. You must register and pay for at least one event during Spring Family Fling in order to receive the link to purchase softball tickets.

This will be general admission seating, which allows guests to sit in the outfield bleachers or the outfield berm. Guests are allowed to bring in lawn chairs or blankets if they would like to sit on the berm. Full-time LSU students will have free admission by scanning their Geaux Rewards app ticket. Spring Family Fling Check-In
4–7 p.m.
Nicholson Gateway Apartments, Canal Hall - 3650 Nicholson Dr.

Registered participants should check in to pick up your Spring Family Fling materials, including nametags, clear bag (one per family), and t-shirts (if you pre-ordered them) prior to attending your first event.

King Cake Making Workshop & Bingo
4–6 p.m. and 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Eloise Market and Cakery - 320 Lee Dr. Suite D
Registration is required, and space is limited.
Cost: $45 per person

Immerse yourself in a sweet and entertaining workshop hosted by Eloise Market and Cakery! During this hands-on experience, you will roll, fill with delicious cinnamon, proof, bake, and decorate your own king cake. While your king cake bakes, enjoy a lively game of bingo with prizes. Guests are welcome to bring in their own snacks and outside beverages (alcoholic or non-alcoholic).

Two workshops will be offered. The first workshop will begin at 4 p.m., and the second workshop will begin at 6:30 p.m. Pre-registered family members should arrive to Eloise Market and Cakery approx. 10 minutes prior to the start of the workshop to check-in and get settled.

*Note: If this is your first event, you will receive all of your check-in materials (nametags, clear bag, and t-shirts if you pre-ordered them) at Eloise Market and Cakery when you arrive for the workshop. You do not need to check-in at Canal Hall; just report to Eloise Market and Cakery. 

Cajun Cooking Experience
6–7:30 p.m.
The Club at Union Square
Registration is required, and space is limited.

Cost: $55 per person

Join LSU Dining for a live and interactive cooking demonstration featuring your favorite Cajun cuisine! Enjoy a three-course meal including shrimp remoulade, cajun shrimp pasta, and bread pudding, and get ready - select members of the audience will be called up to help the chef prepare a portion of the meal! A cash bar will be available.

Pre-registered family members should plan to arrive to The Club at Union Square between 6–6:15 p.m. The cooking demonstration will begin promptly at 6:30 p.m. and will last approximately one hour.

*Note: If this is your first event, you will receive all of your check-in materials (nametags, clear bag, and t-shirts if you pre-ordered them) at The Club at Union Square when you arrive for the Cajun Cooking Experience. You do not need to check-in at Canal Hall; just report to The Club at Union Square.

Mocktails & Masterpieces
6:30–9:30 p.m.
Business Education Complex (BEC) Rotunda
Registration is required, and space is limited.

Cost: $50 per person

All pre-registered family members should arrive to the BEC Rotunda approx.10-15 minutes prior to the start of the event to check-in and get settled. The painting class will begin promptly at 6:30 p.m. and will last approximately three hours. Guests will receive step-by-step instructions from an experienced and enthusiastic local artist as they paint an LSU-themed piece of art. View the art here.

Wear something comfortable. Aprons will be provided, but keep in mind that paint may still find its way to your clothing. Enjoy creative mocktails while you paint. Guests are also welcome to bring in their own snacks and outside beverages (alcoholic or non-alcoholic). You'll leave with your own one-of-a-kind creation! 

*Note: If this is your first event, you will receive all of your check-in materials (nametags, clear bag, and t-shirts if you pre-ordered them) at the BEC Rotunda when you arrive for the Mocktails & Masterpieces class. You do not need to check-in at Canal Hall; just report to the BEC Rotunda.

Cajun Cooking Experience
11 a.m.–12:30 p.m.

Registration is required, and space is limited.

Cost: $50 per person

Spring Family Fling Tailgate
2:30–6 p.m.

$35 per person (includes all-you-care-to-eat buffet)
$10 per person (tailgate entry only - no food included)**
Free for children ages 5 years old and under

Join us for some delicious food, tailgate games, a photobooth, music, and fun for the whole family! Please note that due to the current unprecedented crawfish shortage in Louisiana caused by the drought in 2023, this year's tailgate will not include a crawfish boil. Instead, we'll host a fish fry and feature some delicious crawfish menu items that Tiger families are sure to enjoy!

The $35 per person buffet ticket option includes access to enjoy the tailgate festivities + the all-you-care-to-eat buffet, which includes fried catfish, chicken and sausage jambalaya, Crawfish Monica, crawfish pies, jalapeño hush puppies, garden salad, soft drinks, and bottled water. 

**The $10 per person entry-only ticket option simply grants you access to enjoy the tailgate festivities. It does not include the cost of food or access to the buffet. Registrants may bring in outside food and beverages. 

No alcohol will be served, but registered attendees may bring in their own outside beverages (alcoholic or non-alcoholic). 

Our Tailgate at Canal Hall will take place outdoors under tents in the courtyard, so please dress accordingly.

Residential Life Upperclass Apartment Tours
2:30–6 p.m.
Nicholson Gateway Apartments, Canal Hall - 3650 Nicholson Dr.

Drop-in tours will take place at Nicholson Gateway - Canal Hall during the Crawfish Boil Tailgate. Guests will have the opportunity to see a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom unit in the Nicholson Gateway Apartment Community. Housing Ambassadors will greet guests at the front entryway of Canal Hall (on the Nicholson Drive side). Tours will depart every 15-20 minutes. The last tour departs at 5:30 p.m. Residential Life staff will also be available to chat about upperclass housing options and answer any questions at their information table at the tailgate!

Registration is required, and space is limited.
Cost: $50 per person

All pre-registered family members should arrive to the Magnolia Room on the third floor of the LSU Student Union approx.10-15 minutes prior to the start of the event to check-in and get settled. The painting class will begin promptly at 6:30 p.m. and will last approximately three hours. You must register and pay for at least one event during Spring Family Fling in order to receive the link to purchase men's basketball tickets.

A limited number of tickets will be available in sections 316, 319, and 343 in the PMAC. Students do not need to purchase men's basketball tickets, unless they wish to sit with their families in the PMAC. Full-time LSU students will have free admission by scanning their Geaux Rewards app ticket. The student sections are located in sections 117-121 and 225-227. King Cake Tasting Party

Enjoy king cake samples from local bakeries, door prizes, and vote for your favorites. Registered adult family members can try up to eight samples of king cake from local bakeries. Registered children (ages 5 years old and under) can try up to three samples of king cake. Coffee, bottled water, and chips are included. 

LSU Women's Tennis vs. TCU

Free admission is offered for the LSU Women's Tennis matches, courtesy of the LSU Athletics "Geaux Free" program. Simply show up to the LSU Tennis Complex to cheer on our Tigers!
