S-STEM Scholars Program

Funded by the National Science Foundation, the LSU S-STEM Scholars program aims to increase the educational and career opportunities for academically talented, financially disadvantaged students who are pursuing degrees in basic sciences or mathematics.

Participants in the program receive computer technology training and various enhancement opportunities. The Office of Strategic Initiatives, The Center for Academic Success, and faculty members throughout the science and math disciplines provide active mentoring and academic assistance for the scholars to maximize their chance for academic success.
