LSU Libraries

The LSU Libraries have a number of resources to help students with gathering research for their essays. UWP courses often ask students to utilize library resources. Not sure where to start? You can book an appointment with a Subject Specialist Librarian who can help guide your research, and even provide tips on the best books and databases to find information for your paper topic. The LSU Library also makes research guides, which include a helpful list of links and tutorials for finding research on a number of subjects, including how to access the LSU library databases.

Service-Learning with the UWP

The University Writing Program offers numerous courses which allow students to address critical community needs while also building their leadership skills and earning required course credits. To see which UWP courses offer service-learning components, check CCELL's list, or look for courses with "service-learning designation" in the schedule booklet.

Office of Disability Services

The UWP understands that all of us learn in different ways, and that the organization of any course will accommodate each student differently. Please talk to your professor as soon as you can about your individual learning needs, and how your UWP instructor can best accommodate them. If you are a UWP student that needs accommodations, please register with the Office of Disability Services through the link below.
