Brief Biography

Ebony Williams’ qualitative research program centers the experiences African American professionals with master's degrees and higher. Through this research she seeks to understand the role of phenomena related to the social climate and social support within home and work environments for African American professionals. Her dissertation research focused on the lived experiences of fathers, specifically considering the intersection of work-life balance and social support for African American fathers who were faculty members. Dr. Williams’ research interest also includes examining how racial and gendered expectations influence an individual's involvement in family and romantic relationships.
