For LSU to achieve the goals outlined next in our strategic challenges, it is important for the institution to invest in areas that have comprehensive impact across the university. Fostering Diversity, Inclusion, and Multiculturalism

The university believes that a critical part of the college experience is exposing students to a wide array of diverse people and cultures. As Louisiana’s flagship university, LSU draws students and employees from all 64 parishes in Louisiana, all 50 states, and nearly every country in the world. This mixture of cultures and ethnicities—what LSU calls a “gumbo” of humanity—provides students with broader experiences and a chance to expand their worldview.
