Wellness and Health Promotion
Our goal is to advance student health and promote student success through education and skill development in order to optimize student well-being. The Wellness and Health Promotion Staff work closely with other professionals in the Student Health Center and on campus to ensure that students receive accurate information and the highest quality of care.

- Alcohol and Other Drug Use and Risk Reduction Strategies
- Bystander Intervention Training (Tiger BITes)
- Dimensions of Wellness and Campus Wellness Resources
- Healthy Relationship Skills
- Nutrition, Eating Disorders, and Body Image
- Personal Safety
- Sleep Strategies
- Smoking Cessation
- Stress Reduction and Time Management
- Sexual Health and Contraceptive Methods
- Sexual Assault Prevention and Support
- Other topics or combined topics available by request
To request a presentation, please complete the Presentation Request Form. After your request is received, it will be forwarded to a Coordinator who will contact you to confirm details and finalize a date.
We schedule presentations on a “first-come, first-served” basis, and your request will not be finalized until confirmed by a Coordinator. We request at least two weeks advance notice for programs and presentations.
Many of our presentations can be adapted to fit your specific needs, through the addition of games or extra information that ties in to your class curriculum or event theme. Please discuss any requested modifications with the Coordinator, who contacts you to confirm your request.
Wellness and Health Promotion consists of a multi-disciplinary staff that is available for wellness coaching to facilitate and empower students to achieve self-determined goals related to health and wellness.

The Wellness and Health Promotion Staff strives to provide the LSU community with health information and resources that can positively impact students’ lives. One of the ways that we achieve this goal is through face-to-face outreach efforts. We would love to provide you with informational materials and answer any questions you might have about the Student Health Center.
If you would like to invite the Wellness and Health Promotion Staff to have an information table at your event, please contact us with the date, time, location and purpose of your event. We are always interested in learning about new opportunities to serve students!
We encourage Residential Life Staff to take advantage of the many health-related educational programs we offer. We would be happy to come to your hall to provide a fun, engaging program—all you need to do is fill out a Presentation Request Form, and we will contact you to set up the details.
