Halloween Safety 2020

Thursday, October 29, 2020; 12:03 p.m.

Dear Students,

As we approach Halloween, we want to remind you to continue following all safety practices related to COVID-19. We know that holidays bring parties and gatherings, and the festive atmosphere tempts us to put aside all the things we’ve been doing to mitigate the spread of the virus. But we must continue to be vigilant so we can conclude the fall semester successfully. During this Halloween weekend, please avoid large groups, wear face masks (after all, that is what we do on Halloween!), maintain 6 feet of physical distance from others, and keep your hands washed or sanitized.

We are only a month away from Thanksgiving, and from concluding the semester online after that. Please help us to get through this last month on campus safely, without any outbreaks of the virus. We urge you to stay the course, not just to protect yourselves, but also to protect those around you who may be more vulnerable than you are.

We wish you all a fun – but safe – Halloween weekend.
