[23 Sept 2022] The United States Department of Agriculture-Forest Service recently awarded Dr. Bret Collier a 1.2 million dollar grant for a multi-year evaluation of forest restoration post-Hurricane Laura and the resultant impacts on wild turkeys in west-central Louisiana.
[16 Sept 2022] Dr. Phil Stouffer is on sabbatical for the academic year, working at the Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST) in Windhoek.
[23 Aug 2022] Two graduate students at Louisiana State University (LSU), two from the University of Louisiana-Lafayette (ULL) and one from Loyola University have been named 2023 Knauss Fellowship finalists. All were nominated for the fellowship by the Louisiana Sea Grant College Program. Ashley Booth, a graduate student in the School of Renewable Natural Resources is one of the Finalists.
[7 June 2022] Mike the Tiger is a major part of the heart and soul of LSU. Tiger pride runs deep on campus, and the LSU Tiger Athletic Foundation is turning its love of our tiger into research to benefit the species as a whole. TAF will provide funding for a doctoral student in the LSU School of Renewable Natural Resources to conduct genetic research on tigers.

[6 Jan 2022] Dr. Andy Nyman is interviewed by "Restore the Mississippi River Delta" which is a coalition of the Environmental Defense Fund, National Audubon Society, National Wildlife Federation, Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana, and Lake Pontchartrain Basin Foundation. The podcast was part of their "Delta Dispatches" series and is focused on the American alligator which was the subject of a brand-new float in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
