Welcome and thank you for your interest in our programs at the School of Renewable Natural Resources. We are pleased to offer diverse opportunities in environmental and natural resources and are excited that you are interested in our School. Please take this opportunity to explore our website for more information and contact us.
The School of Renewable Natural Resources is a small but active program within the College of Agriculture at LSU. About 200 undergraduates and 50 graduate students are enrolled in our two undergraduate and two graduate programs. Consequently, our student-to-faculty ratio is approximately 10:1 at the undergraduate level allowing us to offer a more personal and attentive learning experience. Our courses involve field and laboratory experiences with regular outdoor field trips beginning in the second year and continuing until graduation. Students considering our programs should not be afraid to get wet or muddy!
Many of our students graduate and go on to Veterinary and graduate schools. Students become wildlife and fisheries biologists, environmental lawyers, foresters, park rangers, zookeepers, park and refuge managers, environmental consultants, and even game wardens! Please do not hesitate to contact us for more information or to schedule a visit.
