RNR Excellence Fund
The Louisiana State University School of Renewable Natural Resources trains undergraduate and graduate students in the science of sustainable resource management. We strive to equip students with an understanding of our fish, wildlife, and forestry resources and to challenge them to clearly identify and develop sensible management solutions to complex resource problems. We have a long tradition of excellence in teaching, research, and extension, and hope to continue that level of distinction. You are no doubt aware that over the last several years our budgets have been greatly reduced, which has restricted the effectiveness of our program.
In short, the School of Renewable Natural Resources is seeking individual and corporate sponsors that are committed to supporting the School with a one-time or annual contribution. An annual pledge, within your comfort level, will help us meet priority needs that will:
- Enhance our teaching and research technology ($30,000)
- Renovate our current classrooms and student spaces to support new technologies ($90,000)
- Provide our graduate and undergraduate teaching, research, and travel support ($20,000)
- Enhance our seminar series ($10,000)
Our goal is to raise $25,000, and $150,000. Information on the RNR Sponsorship Program, and an outline of other available giving opportunities are listed below. We are especially in need of unrestricted contributions to the RNR Excellence Fund.
Funding for RNR Excellence
There are several levels of individual and corporate sponsorship
Individual Contribution
Levels for Annual contributions:
- to $99 "Friend of the School"
- $100 - $249 "Bronze Leaf"
- $250 - $499 "Silver Leaf"
- $500 - $1499 "Gold Leaf"
All donors will be recognized in our annual Alumni Magazine, Research Matters publication, and on our web site. In addition, individual sponsors of $500 or more will also be recognized as part of a Donor's Display that will be located in the lobby of the RNR Building.
Corporate Contributions
Levels for Annual Contributions:
- to $499 "Sponsor"
- $500 - $999 "Steward"
- $1,000 - $2,499 "Sustainer"
- $2,500 - $4,999 "Mentor"
- $5,000 - $9,999 "Founder"
- $10,000 and above "Benefactor"
For Corporate sponsorships of $500 or more we will work with your communications department to create press releases regarding your donation. This will be in addition to recognition in our annual Alumni Magazine, Research Matters publication, and on our web site. Your company will also be recognized as part of a Donor's Display located in the lobby of the RNR building.
