Residential colleges enjoy all the same amenities and features of traditional residence halls, but they also maximize the on-campus living experience for first-year students by creating smaller communities based on common majors or interests and fostering greater student–faculty interaction beyond the classroom.

The Agriculture Residential College (ARC), located in popular Blake Hall, is a living-learning community for first-year students majoring in the College of Agriculture.

The Engineering Residential College (ERC) is a living-learning community for first-year students majoring in a discipline in the College of Engineering. The ERC is housed in Camellia Hall.

The College of Human Sciences & Education Residential College (HSERC) is sponsored by the College of Human Sciences & Education (CHSE) and housed in the beautiful Cypress Hall.

The Humanities & Social Sciences Residential College (HSSRC), located in Residential College One - North Hall, is open to first-year students of all majors in the College of Humanities & Social Sciences.

Mass Communication

The Mass Communication Residential College (MCRC) is sponsored by the Manship School of Mass Communication and offers an educational and social community for the next generation of journalism, public relations, advertising, and political communication professionals living in Residential College One – South Hall.

The Science Residential College (SRC) is a popular program housed in the newly renovated Evangeline and Highland Halls specifically for students pursuing a degree in the College of Science.

Visual and Performing Arts

The Visual and Performing Arts Residential College (VPARC) is a joint venture of the College of Art and Design and the College of Music and Dramatic Arts. It is housed in Broussard Hall and open to any first-year student with a declared major in one of these two colleges.
