Biography
Victoria is a Louisiana native and is a graduate for Southeastern Louisiana University, Nunez Community College, and Louisiana State University. She is a PhD Candidate, ABD at Louisiana State University where she studies American and Comparative Politics, while filling electives with Political Theory and Religious Studies classes. Her dissertation investigates the effects of descriptive representation on policy, specifically criminalization of gender-based violence within the United States and abroad. Other research interests include public policy, public opinion, law, religion and politics, and political theory. She taught American Government at LSU, Spring 2022. In Spring 2023 she taught American Government, Civil Rights & Liberties, International Relations, and Intro to Public Administration at McNeese State University. She is a supervisor at LSU's Manship Public Policy Research Lab, where she monitors data collection, is also primary supervisor for PRAMS studies, and authors the annual Louisiana BRFSS Report. During her downtime, Victoria can be found spending time with family or reading "non-academic" books.
