Scholarship Overview
LSU and the E. J. Ourso College of Business award scholarships each year based on student need and merit. LSU's online scholarship system, Blackbaud Award Management (BAM), helps students across the university in their scholarship search. This system will enable you to search for and apply to various available opportunities funded through the LSU Foundation. Students can log in using their myLSU credentials.
University-wide Scholarships
Students are automatically considered for university-wide scholarships administered by the LSU Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships. For incoming first-year students, LSU’s application for admission serves as the application for all university scholarships. Current students at LSU are encouraged to keep their scholarship application on myLSU up-to-date. For questions about scholarships awarded by the university, contact the LSU Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships.
E. J. Ourso College of Business Scholarships
The E. J. Ourso College of Business awards roughly 100 scholarships per academic year.
Most of these scholarships are one-time awards ranging up to $1000. Many of these
require financial need as determined on the Federal Aid application. Unlike university-wide
awards, students must complete an application to be considered. Scholarship applicants
are automatically considered for any scholarship for which they are eligible. A committee
of college faculty members, who are responsible for ensuring that applicants meet
donor requirements, selects the award winners.
Applicants should note that they will be required to share a range of information
related to current activities and future plans (for example, career interests, activities,
work experience, etc.). Students will also have an opportunity to explain any extenuating
circumstances or financial needs they may have. It is recommended that applicants
be as thorough as possible when completing the application – if questions are left
blank, students cannot be considered for certain awards.
In addition to more traditional scholarships, the Lagniappe Internship Opportunity
Fund aims to reduce financial barriers that can come with accepting an internship,
like travel or temporary moving expenses, low-paying or unpaid positions, and expenses
associated with living in a major metropolitan city. All full-time E. J. Ourso College
of Business undergraduate students are eligible to apply. Learn more about this unique program.
Scholarship applications will open November 1, 2021. Students who are interested in
applying may do so through Blackbaud Award Management (BAM), located under Financial
Services in myLSU.

Donor and Prospective Donor Information
Our students need more financial support than ever before, and increased scholarship
funding is LSU’s most pressing fundraising priority. Scholarship availability is directly
tied to LSU’s ability to successfully recruit students in the long-term, fulfilling
our mission as Louisiana’s flagship university. Scholarships are essential to closing
the access gap for students with financial need, attracting the best and brightest
students at all socioeconomic levels, and for providing the critical retention dollars
that see our students through graduation.
Higher education is facing deep declines in students applying for college, coupled
with the increased financial need among many students. Scholarships alleviate these
issues and ensure that LSU continues to educate students who become industry leaders.
In so doing, we secure the future of Louisiana, strengthen the communities around
the world where our graduates live, and improve the quality of life for generations
of families.
We are incredibly grateful for the generous support of our donors who invest in scholarships
that benefit the E. J. Ourso College of Business students. If you would like to support
scholarships within the college, please consider making a gift here.
