Pathway to Occupational Therapy School

  1. Select any major at LSU
  2. Take the necessary pre-requisite courses for your desired occupational therapy (ex: LSU Health New Orleans, LSU Health Shreveport)
  3. Maintain a high GPA, especially in science-related coursework (2.8 minimum, 3.4+ recommended)
  4. Prep for and take the GRE (recommended 150 verbal score, 141 quantitative score, and 3.5 analytical writing score)
  5. Earn a minimum of r0 hours of direct patient contact under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist
  6. Earn a bachelor's degree
