Supplemental Retirement Plans
LSU offers multiple options to help employees save for the future. The supplemental retirement program includes 403(b), Roth 403(b), 457(b) and Roth 457(b). Employees may make contributions on an after-tax basis under the Roth plans, on a pre-tax basis under the 403(b) and 457(b) plans, or a combination of the two. Please take a moment to review the benefits of a supplemental retirement account and which plan will best help you plan for retirement.
Enrolling and/or Inquiries
For employees who are interested in opening a 403 (b) Supplemental Retirement Account, please visit Retirement Manager. For a 457(b) supplemental retirement account, please visit the Deferred Compensation website.
Retirement Manager allows employees participating in a 403(b), and Roth 403(b) access to their accounts in a convenient, secure, Web-base anytime and anywhere, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Simply go to www.myretirementmanager.com/myrm/?lsubrpaid.
Application access includes:
- Learn more about your retirement savings plan(s)
- View aggregate balance information across all active, and legacy 403(b) investment providers
- Request a Distribution Eligibility Certificate for the following transactions:
- Hardship Withdrawal
- In-Service Exchange
- Read educational articles on a range of financial planning topics
- Calculate what you will need to stay on track for retirement with easy-to-use financial
We are pleased to announce, effective Monday, August 1, 2016, Retirement Manager will also include the following plan enhancements:
- Start or change contribution amounts
- Request a Distribution Eligibility Certificate for:
- Severance from Employment
In order to access the full-range of benefits offered through the Retirement Manager application on Monday, August 1, 2016, employees will be able to register here. Participants who are currently enrolled will be able to log in using their same username and password, previously used in Retirement Manager.
Effective Monday, August 1, 2016, the Retirement Manager Support line will be available to take calls from all Louisiana State University employees regardless of their investment provider selection. The support line is staffed with a dedicated group of Client Service Professionals that are available to provide guidance on the login process, general navigation questions, and how to use the enrollment and disbursement transaction screens. Please note that account specific questions related to a particular provider should still be addressed directly to the provider.
The participant support line is available Monday through Friday (excluding holidays) from 7:00AM to 6:00PM Central time.

Maximum contributions to both a 403(b) and 457(b) account can be made at the same time.
Employees may switch supplemental retirement account vendors at any point during the year.
